• Welcome to the EPICT Australia Training Website

This site provides materials for the EPICT Licence Program.

To attain the EPICT qualification a teacher is required to complete four compulsory and four optional modules; each module is 15 hours notional duration. However a teacher could take between 50 – 120 hours to complete the course dependent upon the expertise they bring to it. Each module follows the same structure dealing with an overall theme that is described from an ICT and pedagogical point of view.

Modules consist of articles, case studies of best practice ICT pedagogies, ICT skills, exercises and module assignments. Teachers work in professional learning teams of 2, 3 or 4 assisted by a trained EPICT facilitator.

The syllabus, activities and assignments are directly related to the work taking place in the teachers' own classrooms and therefore relevant to and impact upon whole school ICT development.
